Jewelry Making

Traditional Palestinian jewelry was often made by the town's silversmiths.  Women wore as part of their traditional costume elaborate earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and head dresses.  Amulets containing religious verses or glass beads made in Hebron were also popular, believed to ward off the evil eye.  Jewlery by Sunbula's partner producer groups fuses the tradition and moderinity, made with the creative and technical support by the local designers Hamada Atallah, Amir Salameh, and Maro Sandrouni.
