Traditional Palestinian jewelry was often made by the town's silversmiths.  Women wore as part of their traditional costume elaborate earrings, bracelts, neckelaces, and head dresses.  Amulets containing religious verses or glass beads made in Hebron were also popular, believed to have the effect against the evil eye.  Sunbula works with Palesinian designers Hamada Atallah and Amir Salameh to bring the rich jewelry-making tradition in today's handicrafts.
